J. S. “Sandy” Crump Jr., P.E.

Sandy has over forty years of varied experience in the engineering, design, construction, and manufacturing industries. This experience began with employment with consulting engineering firms while attending Georgia Tech in Atlanta. Positions held after graduation include construction project engineer, structural designer, manufacturing plant engineer, engineering department head, plant manager, forensic engineer, and operating Crump Engineering since 1985. Because of this experience, Sandy has developed an understanding of the engineering function within these industries. A significant portion of his career has involved forensic work and damage cause and origin evaluations for the insurance, claims and legal industries. Sandy personally conducted in excess of 1000 structure damage assessments and damage cause and origin evaluations for both daily claims and catastrophe events. Consequently, he has learned what information the client needs as well as how to properly and efficiently obtain and present that information.
